NEW DEVELOPMENTS FROM THE MERCURY II

Sometimes you have to produce some crap to get to the good stuff (or simply call that crap “art” and call it a day). As I described in an earlier post about my Mercury II 35mm film camera, if I can’t take good pictures with this hunk of metal, it’s my own fault (according to the decades-old manual). “My own fault” wouldn’t exactly account for the fact that this roll stopped on the 24th exposure and just kept taking another 30 pictures in that same frame, or that every picture was out of focus (except one of a lawnmower that I’m not sure why I took in the first place), but whatever. I’m just glad this first one passed the legibility test . . . the following I posted because of their potential for the “most improved” award next season.
