Anza Borrego.

A few moving pictures from our camping trip. Since I was mostly the one behind the camera, this basically looks like Jesse did all the work. Fact: I participated in at least half the set up. And hiking. And beer drinking post hiking. [Press play then pause to let the video load a bit for optimal playback.]

Portland Winter Wonderland

Every once in a while, I think I should actually do something with all the pictures I take on vacation. Get out the slide projector, kids; here are a few of my favorites from our most recent trip to Portland.

VIDEO: ONWARD, THE ROSES

Remember the Roses? I wanted to share a little video I had the pleasure to help shoot recently that tells their story. Check it out below, and remember to give it some time to load . . .

ONWARD: Tina & Jeff from FloodSanDiego on Vimeo.

I GOT MARRIED! and made a video.

Two years ago, I was lucky enough to stumble upon this man at a coffee shop in San Diego (okay, fine, I reluctantly showed up to a blind date). Fast forward a bit, and suddenly we’re saying our vows on this perfect San Diego summer day, a little over a month ago. Because I’m also lucky enough to have such talented friends, I was able to put together a video that included wedding day footage from the dynamic duo of Tom and Tim and photos from Nate and Jaclyn of The Image Is Found. It was truly one of the most mind-blowing-amazing days of my life. I hope you enjoy. (note: it may take a moment for the video to load.)

Portland to Seattle

A few shots from a trip up to Portland and Seattle; aka the place I like to gain weight and catch up on my rain intake.

NEW DEVELOPMENTS FROM THE MERCURY II

Sometimes you have to produce some crap to get to the good stuff (or simply call that crap “art” and call it a day). As I described in an earlier post about my Mercury II 35mm film camera, if I can’t take good pictures with this hunk of metal, it’s my own fault (according to the decades-old manual). “My own fault” wouldn’t exactly account for the fact that this roll stopped on the 24th exposure and just kept taking another 30 pictures in that same frame, or that every picture was out of focus (except one of a lawnmower that I’m not sure why I took in the first place), but whatever. I’m just glad this first one passed the legibility test . . . the following I posted because of their potential for the “most improved” award next season.

Scripps Institution of Oceanography – UC San Diego

These were a few side shots I took while doing a corporate shoot at UCSD last week (see: January and kids in swim shorts). One day, if I ever have to leave San Diego, I will probably weep.
